Waiting & Writing

Aaron and I find ourselves in a season of waiting. What does that look like?

We pause... catching ourselves whenever we begin to complain—a humbling reminder of our sometimes entitled thoughts.

We serve...like a "waiter" who has hungry customers with needs.

We pray...that we will become pregnant.

We thank God...for this crazy thing called life and opportunities to make a difference.

We write... it's become a tool to capture the whirlwind of thoughts and emotions that accompany this waiting period. It's also a necessity for Aaron as he has PhD paper due soon :)

Our evening walks have turned into brainstorming sessions for writing topics, reinforcing the idea that the process is just as important, if not more so, than the outcome. We encourage each other to embrace writing for its own sake, rather than striving for perfection.

Favor? Take a moment today to write. Even if it's just for ten minutes. It might just provide the clarity or joy you're searching for in whatever season you find yourself. (And share with me if you want!)

With love,
