Adding to the Herd

Thank you!

I consider YOU part of my herd...it's been a week of reflection and lots of talk about buffalos.

Military command was by far the hardest job and most challenging experience yet. Since leaving the role, I've journaled about the highs and lows. Heartbreaking moments like losing a coworker to cancer, stressful stretches where emails seemed to never end, and fulfilling memories of teammates completing degrees, earning promotions, and growing.

There is a common theme and trend...and it all goes back to buffalos. When my husband Aaron and I learned how buffalos charge into storms, we knew we had a family motto. When cows sense storms, they scatter and run, often hurting themselves and staying stuck in the storm longer. But buffalo? They join together as a herd and go INTO THE STORM. They face challenges head-on as a community. I am beyond grateful for the unexpected buffalo I have encountered during my storms...it's made all the difference.

So, thank you for being an integral part of my herd and many others. I pray your herd expands and please reach out whenever. ♥️

Blessings,
