Give and Take
Aloha from Hawaii!
My husband Aaron and I escaped the desert and now commute through a beautiful mountain range that was featured in Jurassic Park. I'm actually loving a bit of down time between work and home and have been listening to a ton of podcasts, blinks, audio books, and new songs. Below are some of the resources I have really enjoyed. Favor? Please share back :)
1. Health Alert- The Huberman Lab/Podcast: https://www.hubermanlab.com/
This guy is a TOTAL nerd, and talks about anything and everything related to health. As Aaron and I continue our journey of trying to become pregnant, I have learned so much from Dr. Huberman and his guest speakers.
2. New Artist Alert - Shaboozey: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPaJ87tvOZw
I am a sucker for country and rap, and this is the perfect combo. Plus, who doesn't like saying the name "Shaboozey."
3. Real Talk Alert- Tim Ross, The Basement: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WR3gbS4URJI
Tim talks about anything and everything and enjoys holding tension on difficult topics. He also has epicly long podcasts where he talks about parenting, sex, relationships, gossip, etc. The basement is meant to be a safe space where people can learn about Jesus regardless of their beliefs.
4. Life Hack Alert- ChatGPT and a newsletter on all things AI: https://aitoolreport.beehiiv.com/
ChatGPT offers cool life hacks for everyday challenges, like organizing small spaces, meal planning, increasing productivity, budgeting, and easy DIY repairs. It's like having a personal advisor for efficient solutions! I used it for planning a vacation and Aaron created an amazing family calendar. If you aren't sure about AI, it's ok! We already use AI daily (think banking, Uber, making reservations, using your GPS, etc.) and we can make certain tasks easier when we partner humans with machines. Just don't believe the crazy movies...but do fact check what you read and see.
Also...this entire paragraph was written by ChatGPT.
5. Great Book Alert- Adam Grant's Give and Take: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl-jqIoAxEw
The world often has a scarcity mindset. We are told that if we help others, we will lose. But investing your time, talent and money in something you care about is life changing and giving. I've enjoyed continuing to be part of our family nonprofit https://www.missionzheart.org/ focused on meeting needs around the world #GivingTuesday
I'm so grateful for you and excited to hear about what you are learning.
Blessings,
Liz
