Deep Cuts
Between a marriage, squadron officer school, major car accident, moving from DC, new job, and doctorate, this year has been anything but boring. However, 2019 is not over yet...
Aaron's doc recommended surgery from a long-standing shoulder injury. However, she explained that she JUST got hit with a deployment. We decided to wait until she came back...until...I got hit with a deployment for the start of January. Based on Aaron's pain level and my time frame, we were able to convince the ortho section to sneak him in. :)
We are so thankful for a healthcare system, understanding bosses and modern technology. I am taking leave to get ready for my deployment and play nurse Liz and Aaron is ready to knock out some school and catch up on a few shows. He goes in for surgery tomorrow the 13th and all prayers are appreciated.
Since I will be gone for the first half of the year, Aaron is stacking all of his trips, training, and courses for TDYs. While this is great, we have had to look for a place for Rory. In the past, I used Dogs on Deployment which is a free foster care service. I have ALWAYS wanted Rory to be able to go back to his Texas roots and be a farm dog. God is good, even in the smallest details of finding a temporary home for your pup. Rory has already visited his farm family which includes 3 ponies, 1 donkey (named Buzz), 1 dog, several chickens, and a fully fenced and electric perimeter!
Each one of you is going through something different and challenging, and hopefully a bit exciting. I am cheering you on, praying, and always here if you need anything.
Blessings,
Liz
